Peter Dingman and Ken Labowitz founded Dingman Labowitz in 1997 to provide clients with legal assistance in the specific practice areas where their experience allows them to be effective and efficient.
Having spent over three decades living and practicing in Alexandria, Virginia, handling transactions and litigation in Federal and State courts in Northern Virginia and across the Washington, D.C. region, and working primarily with clients with local interests, Peter and Ken have a strong connection to the area their firm serves. They each possess 35 years of experience practicing law, and have earned the highly respected AV-rating from their peers. Friends as well as colleagues, Ken and Peter had been partners in several other firms; they shared a desire to create a firm reflecting their particular views and attitudes toward the practice of law. The goal was to create a firm committed to serving the legal needs of clients effectively, knowledgeably and compassionately.
For several years, they looked for the right lawyer to add to the firm’s capabilities. Anne Heishman joined the firm in 2009, bringing with her substantial court room experience, both trial and appellate, and a concern for aiding vulnerable clients. Since her admission to the Bar, and after service as clerk to the then Chief Judge of the Fairfax County Circuit Court, Anne has focused her practice on service to individual clients confronting times of crisis, whether arising from age, physical or mental infirmity or other domestic crisis. Most importantly, she shared the Dingman Labowitz ethos: develop expertise in her chosen practice area and do it well.
Resolve your legal needs in a timely, honest and effective manner

Peter Dingman can assist in negotiation and documentation of complex commercial real estate transactions with the perspective of having survived several market cycles in this region. When negotiation fails, the firm has the experience to pursue resolution in court. Peter Dingman has successfully tried many of these cases in courts throughout the region.
